At FileFlex.app ("we", "us", "our"), your privacy is our priority. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect (spoiler: almost nothing), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using https://fileflex.app (the "Service"), you agree to this policy.

1. Client-Side File Processing

FileFlex.app performs all image conversions and compressions locally in your web browser using HTML5 Canvas and the FileReader API. Your files are never uploaded to our servers — in fact, we don't have servers that receive your files at all.

• Your images remain on your device at all times.
• Conversion happens using your device's own CPU and memory.
• When you close the browser tab, all file data is released from memory.
• We cannot see, access, store, or recover any file you process.

2. Information We Collect

We do not require accounts, logins, email addresses, or any personal information to use FileFlex. We do not collect your name, address, payment details, or the files you process.

However, like most websites, we and our third-party partners may automatically collect limited technical information, including:

• Browser type, version, and language
• Device type and operating system
• Approximate geographic location (country/region level, derived from IP)
• Pages visited, time spent, and referring URLs
• Anonymized usage and diagnostic data

3. Cookies & Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use cookies and similar technologies for:

• Advertising: To serve relevant ads and measure their performance (via Google AdSense).
• Analytics: To understand aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns.
• Preferences: To remember your theme choice (light/dark mode).

You can disable or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so may affect some features but will not prevent you from using the core conversion tool.

4. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising

FileFlex.app is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Since your files never leave your device, the primary security risk is not applicable to our Service. Any limited technical data collected by third parties (Google) is retained per their own policies. We do not maintain a user database and therefore retain no personal information ourselves.
